Catch Musicians Corner at Centennial Park

August 28 through September 25

One of Nashville’s best free music traditions returns to Centennial Park with the Musicians Corner Fall Series.

Friday evenings in September bring live performances, food trucks, local artisans and Kidsville activities to the park. It’s family friendly, free to attend and a great reminder that some of the best Nashville experiences don’t require a ticket or a trip downtown.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab something from a food truck and enjoy live music in one of the city’s most recognizable parks.

Football Is Back in Nashville

September means the return of regular season football at Nissan Stadium.

The Tennessee Titans have two home games this month:

September 13: Tennessee Titans vs. New York Jets

September 20: Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Even if you aren’t heading inside the stadium, a Titans home game brings a completely different energy to Nashville.

September 11 through September 20

For a little nostalgia close to home, The Nashville Fair returns to The Fairgrounds Nashville.

It’s an easy way to spend a September afternoon or evening without leaving Nashville.

Experience AMERICANAFEST

September 15 through September 19

If there’s one event that feels perfectly suited to Music City, this might be it.

AMERICANAFEST brings artists, fans and music industry professionals from around the world to Nashville for five days of performances, showcases, panels, special events and celebrations of Americana music.

More than 200 acts are part of the 2026 lineup, making this a great opportunity to hear established performers while discovering artists you may not know yet.

Soccer fans have two opportunities to catch Nashville SC at home in September.

Welcome Fall at Cheekwood Harvest

September 19 through November 1

It wouldn’t be fall in Nashville without a trip to Cheekwood.

Cheekwood Harvest returns September 19, transforming the 55-acre estate and gardens for six weeks of fall.

This year’s celebration includes more than 100,000 pumpkins, Pumpkin Village, the Scarecrow Trail, Harvest NIGHTS, live music, seasonal food and drinks, garden games and a new Marigold River featuring more than 2,500 colorful marigolds.

This is one we’d put on the list whether you’re planning a family outing, meeting friends or simply looking for a beautiful fall afternoon.

Take in a Nashville Sounds Game

There’s still time to catch baseball at First Horizon Park before the season winds down.

If you’re looking for something that feels a little more local and relaxed, put Fridays by the River on your list.

East Nashville Beer Works and Friends of Shelby Park & Bottoms bring this fall pop-up beer garden to Shelby Park on Fridays throughout September and October.

Expect local beer, food trucks, live music, yard games and a laid-back outdoor setting. Admission is free, with food and beverages available for purchase.

It’s exactly the kind of neighborhood event that makes fall in Nashville so much fun.

Sometimes the Best Nashville Plans Aren’t Big Events

As much as we love Nashville’s festivals, concerts and sporting events, September is also a great time to rediscover the everyday things that make living here special.
